Level 22 Reached - 11 more to go.

As the site closes for the Festive Season construction of Evolution on Gardiner has reached Level 22. Fitout of the Apartments is well under way. Prices of the remaining apartments now start at $840,000 on Level 19. To date Sunbuild have poured 13,367 cu.m of concrete and utilized 1,345 tonnes of reinforcing steel.

Level 7 Residential Floor Reached

Levels 5, 6 & 7 are fully formed whilst half of the floor plate of Level 8 has been poured. The 'floating' concrete roof of the Games Room on Level 5 has been poured and the more complicated and much larger 'floating' concrete roof of the Resident's Lounge and Gymnasium is being formed up. At the same time the ground floor commercial suites are being fitted out with air-conditioning systems. The Residential Apartments are now 75% sold. Twenty Five Apartmnets are still available, commencing at $780,000 on Level 18. To date the builder has poured 8,180 cubic metres of concrete and utilised 867 tonnes of reinforcing steel.

Work has commenced on the Residential Tower

This aerial shot was taken on 13th March, 2007 and depicts the final stages of work on the Podium Deck (Level 5). The structure to date incorporates 6,995 cu.m. of concrete and well over 700 tonnes of reinforcing steel. The main structural work to the Podium Deck is now complete and includes the foundations of the massive lagoon swimming pool. This deck is also the ground floor of the first level of the Residential Tower on which work has now commenced. Once they reach Level 8 the floor plate will become typical and Sunbuild are then programming to complete a residential floor every 6 working days. Completion of the whole project is programmed for April, 2008. The apartments are now 70% sold. Thirty apartments are still available - commencing now from $700,000 on Level 16.

Construction Is Well Underway

Construction has been underway for a couple of months now. So far all the activity has been in the ground with the substantial foundations being excavated, filled with re-inforcing steel and then concrete. Two of our Purchasers, Dr Tony & Mrs Christina Maroulis were thoughtful enough to instigate the European custom of adding some coins to the foundations. This custom is akin to the one of erecting a tree on the roof top at the final stage of construction, and brings good luck and stability to a building.
